Context
Research in the Rohini drain area revealed challenges such as foul odor, humidity, and heat affecting residents and vendors during summer, highlighting the environmental impact of open and closed greywater drains.
Design Approach
The solution proposes passive cooling drain covers inspired by Mughal dome architecture. The structure encourages circular air circulation, allowing hot air to rise, move through the dome, and cool naturally.
Outcome
A scalable system that improves ventilation, reduces heat buildup, and transforms existing drainage infrastructure into a passive urban cooling solution.
